last day to eat the grain i will be missing before my paleo journey begin. i must be honest and say that i am actually excited and a little bit freaked out. these past few days i havent gone to the gym but enjoy couple of my favorite treats, and eating all of my favorite grain products. by the end of this day i cant eat:
FOR 2 MONTHS !
but thankfully i will be able to eat
lots of veggies
coconut milk : S .. never tried it but
and lastly green tea, coffee, and lol water
i think i can survive this. wish me luck guys.
i am not focusing on the numbers on the scale but rather on the muscle growth and fat loss that i will achieve.
since i am going all Paleo in just 3 days meaning no dairy and grain for 2 months i am eating all my favorite complex carbs and also the chocolate that i will be missing so dearly before its too late.
went over to my friend’s place and i was starving when i got back home. so i had 1/2 of brown basmita rice and a cup of mushrooms, vegetable and meat stew that my wonderful chef of a father made.
its ways delicous. but strangely i was still hungry so i had little bit of oatmeal - i know its strange but i LOVE oatmeal lol if i had the chance i would eat it all day everyday.
my broher was baking his cake that we got him for his bday and its smelled lovely. i couldnt resist. before indulging on a big piece i looked at the nutrition value and it wasnt so bad only 5 g of fat and no trans fat at all. but 19 g of sugar.
i gave everybody a big piece and left a piece for myself. a small voice in my head was telling me that i should only have a small portion but another voice said that should let myself enjoy a big piece becuz in couple of days i am not going to be having any sort of carbs and dairy.
wanna know which voice i listened to? the one that told me to have a big piece with a glass of milk. after finishing up my piece wanted to seat down and relax but i felt ill. i couldnt believe that i had such a big piece of cake so you know wat i did?
got my turbo jam DVDs and jilian michaels 30 day shred and did my workout. i couldnt stand the fact that, that cake was in my body and will turn into fat if i didnt use its energy. i wore a sweater while as i was working out becuz i know the more layers of clothes you have on the more you sweat in conclusion the more calories you burn.
just took a shower and i feel great :)
PALEO BRING IT i am so ready to see amazing results. 2012 this is the year i am finally going to truly love my body. i can feel it.
ps. i did my insanity workout yesterday and i realized from the schedule i am working out on different days than on the insanity schedule so in order to be on the same plan i am going to wait until Monday and continue my workout from there cuz every sunday its a day off.
I don't follow any specific program, but I agree with a lot of what "paleo" is all about. Though I am hesitant to believe one can just load one's self with meat and be okay in the long run. So don't forget all the greenery!! but definitely cutting out most carbs/starches makes me look and feel better.
yess. veggies and fruits are also plays a big part on the Paleo diet solution. dont worry i am not really into eating a lot of meat like that.
I'm not necessarily on the "paleo diet" - I hate being so stringent with words like that....But I do eat that way and honestly, cutting out grains and wheat caused me to drop bodyfat so quickly. Combined with the workouts I do, it's great. takes some getting used to tho
yeah i know wat you mean. carbs - good carbs i mean is my life. like giving up my oatmeal and my whole wheat and brown rice. i just cant. but i have goals that i need to achieve and plus its not like i am set to life on the paleo diet solution. i just want the extra fat that i still have to melt off.
i lost 10lbs by not eating carbs for a month! not eating carbs works wonders because it causes ketosis, which is when your body goes into a fat-eating mode, where instead of using carbs for energy, your body turns to your FAT for energy! i wish i could go without carbs forever, but its soo hard! good luck on your paleo diet :)
:O congrats hun. and yeah on the article i read it was talking about the ketosis and it honestly makes sense. i am not going to be on the paleo diet forever its just that my ultimate goal is to gain muscle and its i feel the muscles on my legs and arms but its taking a long time for the fat to melt off. that is why i think by doing this its going to shock my body and finally have the fat melting off.
so yesterday i was just chillin on tumblr as usual and i came upon something that left me in wonders and completely in shock. after 4 hours of reading and researching whether or not this diet solution is a false ( its not) i am a believer.
ever heard Paleo diet solution? i know me neither until yesterday. i am going to leave you guys to read the whole article (its soo worth it) and discovered this new amazing solution for not only weight loss but for a healthier and much better lifestyle.
back then before the discovery of agriculture ppl’s carbs intake has increased by a huge amount. this new diet solution eliminates carbs and diary becuz back then (caveman) they didnt have things like rice, bread, pasta, etc. they survived on veggies, fruits, and meat. you must admit that ppl back then were much more healthier than our century today why? becuz back then ppl didnt consumed a lot of carbs as we do now a days.
looking at my diet more closely and i see that 80-90 % of my calories intake come from complex carbs. i am not getting enough protein in that is why i am not seeing my muscles progress as fast as i would like it to be.
i believe that by getting rid of carbs for a month it would do my body wonders.
going to try it and keep you guys updated.
